JAMB OUT SECURITY SCREENS
This type of screen is a sub frame type made to be attached directly to the jambs of the existing window. They can
be either top or middle hinged to accommodate window air conditioners.
1. PRODUCTS: All extrusions are made from 6063 T5 aluminum.
2. sub frame: The sub frame is a three (3) angle extrusion. A flange faces inside the sub frame where the screws
secure it to the window. The frame dimensions are 2.075" x 1.00" x .062 typical walls.
3. SCREEN FRAME: The screen frame is an "L" shape which is miter cut. There is a groove at the back of the small
leg to accept either vinyl or felt weatherstripping. It also has raised ridges on the surface where the wire lies to help
in securing the wire tightly to the frame. The dimensions are 1.1118" x .966" x .062 typical walls.
4. COVER PLATE: The cover plate is used to secure the wire to the screen frame. It has raised ridges to
accomplish that task. It also has a channel on each side to accept a vinyl stripping which serves to hide the screws
from view. The cover plate dimensions are .830" x .167" x .062 typical wall.
5. CENTER BAR: The center bar is a rectangular shape with raised ridges on the surface for securing wire. The
dimensions are 1.00" x .50" x .062 typical wall.
6. LATCH: Slide bolts are used to latch the screen to the existing window. They are made completely of stainless
steel parts including the body, slide pin, spring, and "C" clip.
7. LATCH GUARD: The barrel bolt latches are protected from outside access by a modified cover plate that is
elongated on one side to completely cover the latch. The dimensions are 6" long x 2 3A" tall x .062 typical wall.
8. HINGE: The standard hinge is a continuous piano hinge which is made of 40 gauge aluminum.
9. AVAILABLE FINISHES: Standard finishes are MILL BRONZE WHITE Other colors are available and will be quoted
upon request.
10. WIRE: Stainless steel wire is standard in all screens. It is available in either .023 or .028 gauge and is all 12 x
12 mesh. The wire can also be painted for an additional fee.
11. WARRANTY: Standard warranty is one (1) year in workmanship and materials from the date of purchase.
